What we stand for locally

Priorities for Bury’s six towns

Practical local action, transparent decisions and representatives who stay visible after election day.

↗

Priority

Roads and Pavements

Safe, reliable roads and pavements are a basic council responsibility.

We will keep pressure on the council to repair defects properly, prioritise dangerous surfaces and publish clear information about what is scheduled and when.

£

Priority

Council Spending and Transparency

Residents deserve to see where their money goes and what it delivers.

We support open decision-making, stronger scrutiny and a clear focus on frontline value. Major spending decisions should be explained in plain English and tested against residents’ priorities.

✦

Priority

Clean Streets and Town Centres

Cleaner neighbourhoods support pride, safety and thriving local businesses.

We want quicker action on fly-tipping, litter and neglected public spaces, with visible standards across Bury, Prestwich, Radcliffe, Ramsbottom, Tottington and Whitefield.

⌂

Priority

Housing and HMO Standards

Growth must be well-managed and poor housing standards challenged.

We will stand up for residents affected by badly managed properties, overcrowding and irresponsible development, while supporting decent homes in the right places.

◆

Priority

Protecting Bury’s Heritage

Our borough’s landmarks belong in its future, not just its past.

The campaign to protect Castle Armoury shows what determined local action can achieve. We will continue to support practical community uses for important civic assets.

◎

Priority

Backing Residents

Local representatives should be visible, accessible and responsive.

Our councillors and branch team will listen, hold regular conversations in the community and follow up casework rather than appearing only at election time.
